Hey, I have a similar setup to your Notebook (only with a 980m) and don't have those issues. This seems to be a common card for laptops right now and it seems like there must be an easier way. So this happens if I want to switch from showing my output on the HDMI to a mini displayport, or if I go into the advanced output options to make a change.Īnd none of this is "remembered" if any displays are unplugged and reconnected, or new ones added.Īs you can imagine, this is pretty frustrating in a live setting when I'm trying to set up feeds to the house's displays or projectors, fiddling with both the Windows and Nvidia display control panels trying to find a combo that works for all necessary displays.ĭoes anyone else with this card have to go into the Nvidia panel to make adjustments to get things showing up on their outputs, or are they just plug and play? Is there a way for these proper settings to be "remembered" with my frequently used displays? The presets for Resolume's advanced output options aren't working unless I do this every time. On top of that, after I get the settings "right" (even if they weren't actually changed, but re-applied, so to speak), if I change anything in the output menu within Resolume, I get the black screens again until I do this process again. Sometimes the apply button isn't even there though, so I have to mess with settings until it does, then find what works. Sometimes if I just toggle the setting and click back to the previous one, then hit Apply, the projector/monitor starts showing the Resolume feed. I get pretty inconsistent results that require adjusting of toggling "full screen" / "scale to fit" and the resolution (sometimes the wrong ones are what end up working).
With some tweaking of the chosen display's resolution in the Nvidia card's control panel, I can get displays to work but it is sort of haphazard. Whenever I choose fullscreen for any of my display options from the output menu, only a black screen is sent initially, regardless of if it is my projector or a monitor.
